FDM

PLA is a rigid plastic for visual models, decorative parts and early product development. Its broad colour range makes it particularly useful for figurines, architectural models and labelled demonstrators. Depending on the selected grade, it offers a conventional or matte surface; PLA Matte reduces reflections and makes contours easy to read.

Use PLA to assess proportions, installation space and the appearance of a design with a physical model. Multicoloured versions can distinguish assemblies, functional areas or decorative details. Fit-check models and lightly loaded aids are further possible applications.

The Basic and Matte options use different formulations and have different properties. Other materials are generally more suitable for sustained warmth or repeated substantial deformation. We therefore match the grade to the required colour, surface finish and operating temperature.

Limitations and post-processing

Suitability depends on geometry, orientation, print profile and material condition. Drying, annealing, or washing and post-curing are material- and profile-specific. Material data do not certify a part.
