INTAMSYS ULTEM 9085 is a PEI-based high-performance material for lightweight, mechanically capable engineering parts. It combines a high strength-to-weight ratio with heat resistance. Its behaviour in fire also makes it relevant where smoke generation and flammability are design considerations.
Potential uses include housings, covers, brackets and complex functional components. The natural grade has a beige to amber appearance. A suitable design can integrate several mounting or guiding functions into a single printed part.
Processing uses dried filament and an appropriate high-temperature profile. Load direction, layer structure and operating temperature all matter during design. Aviation, railway or other regulated requirements must be demonstrated for the specific material, process and component configuration.

Limitations and post-processing
Suitability depends on geometry, orientation, print profile and material condition. Drying, annealing, or washing and post-curing are material- and profile-specific. Material data do not certify a part.
