Formlabs Flexible 50A Resin is a soft, translucent elastomer resin for highly compliant models. It can be used to develop shapes and functions intended for soft rubber or silicone. Its transparent to translucent appearance can also reveal internal structures and changes in wall thickness.
Potential applications include soft buttons, stretchable enclosures, straps and compliant mechanisms. Handling and deforming a model helps evaluate how a soft feature responds to pressure or tension. Geometry has a strong influence: thin membranes and solid sections produce different restoring forces.
Print orientation, support locations and post-curing affect the surface and elastic behaviour. Thin or hollow features must allow reliable cleaning. The documentation also uses the name Elastic 50A, so the specific material version is matched to its data sheet before manufacturing.

Limitations and post-processing
Suitability depends on geometry, orientation, print profile and material condition. Drying, annealing, or washing and post-curing are material- and profile-specific. Material data do not certify a part.
