FDM · Special applications

Kexcelled THE K11 PEEK GF10 combines PEEK with 10% glass fibre. It is designed for stiff, dimensionally stable parts exposed to demanding thermal and mechanical conditions. Glass fibre reinforcement provides another option when a design calls for a reinforced high-performance polymer.

Potential applications include fixtures, brackets, housing components and functional prototypes. Ribbed designs can support the required stiffness around broad surfaces and loaded connection points. The geometry is matched to installation space, loads and exposure to industrial fluids.

Glass fibres increase nozzle wear and affect the direction-dependent behaviour of the component. Wear-resistant equipment, a qualified high-temperature profile and suitable orientation are therefore needed. Electrical insulation or suitability for a particular fluid is not assumed solely from the presence of glass fibres.

Limitations and post-processing

Suitability depends on geometry, orientation, print profile and material condition. Drying, annealing, or washing and post-curing are material- and profile-specific. Material data do not certify a part.
